I'm Not Dead

Sometimes blogging feels like a chore. Sometimes it feels like work. Sometimes I am too busy and sometimes I am just completely uninspired. Lately, it has felt like all of the above. I feel as if I have nothing interesting to talk about. I think that just means that I am happy and comfortable though. Funny how that happens.

Since I feel uninteresting I will just share some photos from some shows with you. There may be more on my camera at home so there may be a part 2 to this story. They are all Roy Rapid shows because I am poor and I get in for free :-)

Roy Rapid, The Side-wynders, and The Avenues at Tio Leo's.

Roy Rapid's new marquis. A gift from their manager Jessica.

My man playing drums.

My hair is super long again! This daisy print dress is one of the very first vintage dresses I ever bought way back when. I still love it!

This was a good show. I ate and drank and danced a lot. I had not danced in ages!! I had so much fun! There were a ton of Lindy Hoppers there and I swear they always seem shocked that I can actually dance Lindy pretty well. They say things like 'wow, you're actually good!'. Shocker. But thanks for the compliment!

The Southwest Stomp in Tempe, AZ

It was fun to take a mini road trip, even though we just drove there and came right back. Fernando got a new-ish SUV with heated seats so I was quite comfy. I didn't do any shopping at all, but I did hit the Dunkin Donut's across from the hotel. Yum!

I really liked my outfit even though I had to let the buttons out on the skirt in the car outside the venue. Thank god for sewing kits! It was always snug but an office job has made it snugger.

The show was fun and the Roy Rapid boys got a little crazy during their set. Ben, the guitar player, passed out on stage and had to be carried out. Luckily it was after they played though.

Roy Rapid at Joe's in Burbank.

Nicole, Monica and me. I covet Monica's gold confetti lucite purse!!

Casual show the night before Thanksgiving. Hadn't washed my hair in a couple days so it all got stowed away. This was a show I could have slept through, I was so tired!

Nikki Hill at the Kensington Club Nov 30th

Ok this show hasn't happened yet so if you are in the San Diego area you should come down on friday to see Nikki Hill!! I am super excited! I haven't actually ever seen her live, can you believe that??? I will take pictures and share them here I promise!!
